Cleaning and maintenance of comfort ventilation and exhaust air systems

We Central Europeans spend an average of 80% of our lives indoors. Since the 1960s, air conditioning and comfort ventilation systems have been supplying air to these living and working spaces, such as open-plan offices, shopping centers, etc. These ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC systems) are largely responsible for the condition of the indoor air.

Until now, for fire safety reasons, many places have only carried out checks on the technical condition of the system. Unfortunately, hygiene checks and the resulting cleaning and disinfection have been criminally neglected. This has led to health problems and serious illnesses caused by mold and bacteria.

Due to increasing hygiene requirements, new guidelines have been introduced that stipulate an annual inspection of the internal air duct surfaces for contamination and corrosion.

By using inspection cameras and taking and analyzing dust samples, we determine the best cleaning method for your ventilation system. Cleaning air ducts with rotating brushes is one of the most effective methods, allowing air ducts up to 80 m in length to be cleaned. The loosened dirt is extracted outside the system during cleaning. After the cleaning process, surface treatment can be carried out inside the duct if necessary.
