Hotel Restaurant Arvenbüel

Situated above the lake Walensee on the sunny plateau of Amden on 1256 m above sea level, our hotel has been in the family for 3 generations. We go out of our way to spoil guests with warm hospitality. From here you can enjoy a breath-taking panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and the Glarner Alps. The hiking region has more than 100 km of marked and maintained trails and starts right outside the front door. You can also go on longer walks to Toggenburg and beyond. The high altitude means that Arvenbüel is almost always free of mist in the autumn and winter. The small but beautiful skiing region in the winter is very popular with families and sun-worshippers in particular. The ski room offers direct access to the slopes. At our hotel, the emphasis is on HOME-MADE. We offer seasonal and regional products to delight the palates of our guests. Breakfast comes with 4-5 home-made breads, while in the afternoons you can enjoy our speciality, a plum cake with nutty shortcrust pastry.
