We see our mission as informing, stimulating thought, and entertaining. The focus is on the wine region. As a newspaper, we try to track down relevant topics and events and cover them journalistically. Within the manageable geographical framework of the wine region, we set generous boundaries. No matter what angle, what corner of the political spectrum, or who the sender is: basically, every event has the potential to be covered by us—provided it takes place in the region or could have an effect on the residents from outside.

Independent and fair
The Andelfinger Zeitung is independent, but attaches great importance to good cooperation with the municipalities and various local actors. We are committed to constructive journalism. As a sign of fairness and to ensure quality, statements that have not been made public, their context, and sometimes even longer passages are submitted to the sender for review. As a newspaper, however, we also see it as our duty to critically observe events and individuals. This sometimes means weighing up different interests against each other.
