SPITEX BASEL is a non-profit foundation that provides services to the population of the city of Basel:

– Basic and treatment care
– Psychiatric care
– Palliative care
Special services
– 24-hour emergency service (Spitexpress)
– Pediatric care
– Oncology and palliative care
– Wound consultation and care
Housekeeping and care (including early detection and prevention)
SPITEX BASEL supports and cares for both children and adults with the aim of enabling them to live in their own homes. The focus is on maintaining independence, safety, and quality of life. Its experienced staff also help relatives by providing advice and support. As part of its service mandate, the canton of Basel-Stadt supports the nursing, housekeeping, and care services provided by SPITEX BASEL.
SPITEX BASEL is on duty from morning to evening, seven days a week. In the event of a nursing emergency, residents of the city of Basel can also request Spitexpress, the 24-hour emergency service provided by SPITEX BASEL, even if they are not customers.
