Stiftung TBB Schweiz

The purpose of the privately funded TBB Switzerland foundation is to protect and promote the interests of animals and animal welfare. We support the general public and authorities in matters relating to animal welfare. Our main task is to protect all animals from suffering, poor husbandry, and abuse. We want to contribute to animals being respected and valued for their own sake and with respect for their dignity. In addition, the foundation offers practical services for animal owners and people without animals and operates the animal shelter on the Birs.

The foundation operates Switzerland's largest animal shelter, which houses up to 400 animals and fulfills important charitable tasks. It manages the cantonal reporting office for found animals in the cantons of Basel-Stadt and Basel-Landschaft.

The foundation's employees work 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, for the welfare of animals in need.
