Therapies:
- Conventional physiotherapy:
Manual therapy (SAMT)
The aim of manual therapy is to identify disorders of the musculoskeletal system and to provide appropriate treatment. These techniques are performed with the hands (manually). They are gentle and painless.
Manual techniques in the broadest sense are among the oldest medical procedures and have existed for thousands of years in all cultures and in a wide variety of forms.
Functional taping:
Functional taping involves the use of elastic bandages which, depending on how they are applied, can support restricted functions (e.g., in cases of persistent forefoot weakness, to enable functional and pain-free rolling of the foot when walking) or train movements in the sense of functional training (e.g., in cases of suboptimal hip stability in the stance phase after the use of a prosthesis).
Functional movement analysis:
According to Klein-Vogelbach, there is an ideal physique, which she calls the "hypothetical norm." It is characterized by optimal weight distribution and favorable lengths, widths, and depths of the torso and extremities. The ideal physique enables economical movement.
The FBL therapy approach follows the principle of economy: maximum performance with minimum effort and minimum wear and tear.
The basis for this is the assessment of the "functional status" (findings), which records deviations from the norm and describes the "functional problem." Treatment involves therapeutic exercises and treatment techniques. In addition to very detailed instruction for the patient, these also include the modification of model exercises related to their functional problem.
Sling table
The sling table is a therapeutic aid that enables the therapist to carry out treatments while partially removing the patient's own weight or that of individual affected body parts. Depending on the diagnosis and therapeutic objectives, these body parts are suspended from the sling table using slings attached to rope cords.
- Sports physiotherapy
- Lymphatic drainage: a pleasant , relieving manual treatment for lymphatic decongestion in cases of overload or disease of the lymphatic system (edema formation). Only useful in conjunction with compression therapy.
- Sohier technique: a gentle form of manual therapy. With a thorough understanding of the joint situation, a lot can be achieved with little intensity. A holistic form of therapy for the whole body.
- Spiral dynamics: an active way of addressing physical problems with a view to the whole body. The shape of the spiral forms a stimulating basis for movement.
- Dorn-Breuss therapy: a sensible combination of passive and active forms of therapy. The Breuss massage is performed in a prone position and is calming and uniform. Dorn therapy is an active mobilization technique in which the patient actively participates in the manual mobilization performed by the therapist. Liberating!
- Breathing therapy: with flutter, Spirotiger, manual breathing therapy
- MTT: medical training therapy
- FDM: Fascial therapy (fascial distortion model)
