Plasterer
Plasterer (formerly stuccoer) (Italian-French) also known as Gipser (old job title in southern Germany), is the job title for a construction craftsman working in interior finishing and on facades.

Plasterers plaster walls indoors and outdoors, construct lightweight walls and suspended ceilings from plasterboard (drywall) and Rabitz.

Another important area of work is the thermal insulation of buildings, e.g., with composite thermal insulation systems.

Plasterers also produce stucco and apply it on the construction site. Creating stucco requires good training, a lot of experience, and a delicate touch.

Stucco elements can be prefabricated in the workshop or created on site. Depending on where they are installed on the building, a distinction is made between interior and exterior stucco.

The combination of classic stucco techniques with modern coating techniques and modern design now offers suitable design options for every construction project. Training to become a plasterer takes three years and consists of an apprenticeship in a company, inter-company courses, and vocational school.
