David and Joëlle Comte form a duo that is as friendly as it is surprising. These young entrepreneurs have decided to put their compassion and empathy at the service of people affected by bereavement.

On August 1, 2011, we established the family business Accompagnement Comte Pompes funèbres in Bassecourt and Delémont. Although David has been working in this field for several years, we are the youngest practitioners in the canton of Jura. Our youth somewhat redefines the image of the profession and is appreciated by bereaved families.

Joëlle and David Comte offer support, funeral planning, repatriation, and funeral services for all religions and beliefs. The company also has a private mortuary in Bassecourt, the "Pavillon de l'Adieu,"as well as a ceremony room. In addition, our friend and colleague Patrick Cortat has joined us to strengthen this family business.

In response to growing demand, we have decided to take a gentle turn towards ecology.

First, we recently purchased two new vehicles. The first is a Mercedes Osiris CDI hearse that meets EU5 standards with CO2 emissions reduced by 13%. The second is a Renault Twizy, a fully electric car that we use mainly to meet with families to take care of all the administrative procedures.

Finally, we also offer eco-friendly funerals and a range of new eco-friendly funeral items, including natural coffins and biodegradable urns, which are completely environmentally friendly.

To assure you of our professionalism, Comte has signed the code of honor of the Swiss Funeral Services Association and that of the Jura Association of Family Businesses.
