Before World War I, August Dobiaschofsky moved to Bern with his family and opened an art dealership with a gilding and framing studio in 1923, which was later expanded to include a gallery and auction house. The two annual auctions specialize in Swiss art, international paintings, modern prints, posters, antiques, and jewelry.
