The value of antique furniture

Handcrafted furniture has not only material value, but also historical and sentimental value. This is just as true today as it was 300 years ago. Choosing antique furniture is a decision in favor of lasting value, attention to detail, and continuity, and against a consumer-oriented throwaway society. Antique furniture should be "lived in" and not necessarily seen as a pure investment. Restoration is important for all antique furniture. Improper treatment can significantly reduce its value. Professional restoration, on the other hand, can increase its value considerably.
