The wound care practice was founded in 2001 by Barbara Seitzinger-Mäder. Since 2005, the practice has been located at Margarethental 19 in Binningen, centrally located in a quiet area surrounded by greenery.

The wound care practice consists of a team of certified wound care experts (SAfW) led by Barbara Seitzinger. The team will take care of your needs in a competent, personal, and professional manner. We are happy to put our many years of experience at your disposal.

Our patients mainly come from northwestern Switzerland, with some exceptions from Germany, France, and Austria.

Close cooperation with general practitioners and specialists in the region is a central concern of the wound practice. A comprehensive diagnosis by a doctor is an important prerequisite for successful wound therapy based on the cause being treated.

Treatment

People with complex wound situations have often already been through a difficult and painful journey.

We listen carefully.

• What has happened so far?
• What is the main problem now?
• What is the patient's primary goal? (Less pain? Easier personal care? Dressing intervals, etc.?)
• What does the wound need? (Clarification? Local therapy? Etc.)

Our goal is to be a center for wound patients, assessing wound situations, local therapy strategies, and care until healing or palliative support. We are part of an interdisciplinary network and work together with other specialists (general practitioners, angiologists, diabetologists, physical therapists, etc.).

Competence center for negative pressure therapy
Consultation and therapy are provided exclusively by specially trained personnel. We support and advise people for short periods and, where necessary, also through long, difficult phases.

Costs (Spitex rates) are covered by basic insurance with a doctor's prescription.

Soothing care for your feet

Wound experts SAfW with additional training in foot care offer you careful and professional therapy with the highest standards of hygiene.

For diabetics, the costs of foot care are covered by basic insurance in accordance with the tariff agreement, with a doctor's prescription.
