History
The Rey family business was gradually built up in 1934 by Walter and Erwin Rey, when Walter Rey decided to give up his job as a machinist and devote himself entirely to vegetable cultivation.
Initially, the vegetables were sold at the weekly market in Baden, later on Ausstellungsstrasse in Zurich, and since 1980 also at the wholesale market in Zurich. This fruit and vegetable trading center is still at the heart of our marketing activities today, where a significant proportion of our products are sold.
The Rey Vegetables Team
Since 1985, the business has been run by Urs, Bruno, and Kurt Rey with the help of Elisabeth Rey and our long-standing employee Peter Meier. Since 2001, the three brothers have been actively supported by their descendants Peter and Marco. From March to November, several seasonal employees are also hired.
