Valebin SA, controlled landfill site
Founded in 1993, VALEBIN SA's main activity is the operation of a type B landfill site (formerly DCMI), whose management, authorization, and operating conditions are governed by legal requirements set and monitored by various government agencies.
It promotes regional and local development by offering private companies, public authorities, sorting centers, and municipal waste collection centers a solution for the storage and final disposal of their inert materials.
Located in the municipality of Bofflens, in northern Vaud, it is connected to the economic centers of our region within a radius of approximately 30 km.
As it fills up, we restore the land to agricultural or forest use.
We hope you will find the information you need on the various pages, but we remain at your disposal for any further information you may require.
Information for all our customers
Asbestos waste - Accepted at our Bofflens landfill (Type B)
Reminder of cantonal guidelines
Dear Sir or Madam, Dear Customers,
We would like to remind you that asbestos waste, even if it is in the form of fiber cement (highly agglomerated) and in good condition, must be handled with care. It must be carefully packaged so that asbestos fibers cannot escape into the air, and must be clearly identified.
For construction waste, the cantonal directive (DCPE 875) of October 2014 on the temporary storage, recycling, and disposal of mineral construction materials stipulates in particular:
Packaging and disposal of highly agglomerated asbestos waste that can be transported to a 'type 8' landfill site
must be securely and effectivelypackaged directly on site or in bags provided for this purpose (available at your local waste collection center) for private individuals. Packaging must be transparent (plastic film, special plastic bags) and not opaque (such as big bags), so that the contents can be visually inspected upon arrival at our landfill.
Under no circumstances should this waste be unpacked.
Let's work together to protect the health of everyone who handles these materials. We thank you for taking note of this and informing all your employees involved in the disposal of this waste.
