In 1980, the sole proprietorship B. Kruse Sewer and Pipe Cleaning, Building Drying, and Ventilation was founded. As the company name suggests, the founder was Bruno Kruse. On May 12, 2004, the service company was retroactively converted from a sole proprietorship to a stock corporation with effect from January 1, 2004, and renamed Kruse AG.
