Founded in Caslano, on the shores of Lake Lugano, Frubau specializes in the production and installation of custom-made verandas, winter gardens, mobile covers, and glass structures, using only the highest quality materials and Swiss technology and precision. Frubau products combine solidity and reliability with the need to offer original and customized structures, characteristics that make each project unique.

Since its inception in 1966, the Frunz family has been passionately committed to finding cutting-edge solutions for enclosing open spaces in private homes, public buildings, and commercial establishments. After quickly becoming a leader in the veranda sector in the Canton of Ticino, Frubau is now a company with a solid tradition, thanks to its many years of experience, but at the same time a modern company that looks decisively to the future.

Currently, the headquarters, which has been expanded and renovated over time with a view to integrating with the surrounding environment, has an indoor exhibition area of over 250 m² and an outdoor area of 100 m². It also boasts an innovative production line and highly qualified staff, composed of industry experts who are continuously updating their professional skills and able to skilfully combine creativity and functionality.

All year round and in every season, for maximum relaxation and living comfort.

Frubau winter gardens are carefully designed to measure and can be created in an infinite range of shapes, styles, accessories, and curtains. The profiles, with their sleek and modern design, are powder-coated and can be made in various shades, including two-tone, using different colors for the interior and exterior.

The thermal break aluminum structures ensure perfect insulation: this is because, through the various glazing solutions, which can be opened as desired, it is possible to capture the sun's rays and incorporate heat during the day. This offers a considerable advantage in terms of energy savings. At the same time, the choice of aluminum guarantees the long life of the product and ensures that maintenance requirements are minimal.

The infill panels can be made of double glazing with Ug 1.1 gas (K=1.0), reflective insulating glass (to prevent the greenhouse effect in summer) or insulated aluminum panels (blind). The assembly method has been developed for quick and easy, high-quality installation, thanks also to gutters and water drains that are fully integrated into the structure.

VERANDAS

A window on nature

Historically, the veranda was created in response to people's need for an additional room that could be used, initially, as a lemon house and, later, as a greenhouse. Today, it is the ideal choice for those who want to make the most of the space in their home, taking advantage of an outdoor area that would otherwise remain unused, especially in the mid-seasons, due to bad weather.

The veranda thus becomes a charming and comfortable corner, surrounded by the nature of the garden, where you can relax in peace all year round with friends and family; a place for study, relaxation, and entertainment; or simply a shelter from the rain and temperature changes for pets.

The structure, made of monolithic aluminum profiles, is equipped with fully integrated gutters and drains. The infill panels are made of standard Ug 2.8 (K=2.9) double glazing. The roof panels, on the other hand, can be made of insulating glass (possibly reflective), 32 mm transparent or opal polycarbonate, or insulated (blind) panels. Maintenance requirements are minimal and the product has a virtually infinite lifespan.

The Panoramline glazing system is Frubau's flagship product, which has been awarded two European patents, the latest in 2011. Suitable for enclosing any type of terrace, balcony, loggia, or veranda, the basic mechanism for locking the panels is absolutely revolutionary: these are the only glass enclosures with independent panels, which can be opened by rotating them 90°, thus solving the annoying problem of cleaning the glass on the outside.

Thanks to the door folding system (which can be designed to fold inwards or outwards), the space can also be used as usual in summer, without fixed parts taking up space, unlike traditional structures with folding walls, whose doors, attached to each other, take up space on the line of movement.

The furnishing accessories are able to meet the most varied needs of those who use them, with all the flexibility and functionality that sets them apart. They are available in the best materials and in a wide range of versions.

Ventilation

Thanks to their practical inward-opening system, bottom-hung windows have the advantage of ensuring ventilation in a simple and functional way. They are installed in the upper part of the room to optimize air circulation. Normally, two windows are required, to be positioned on opposite sides. When it is not possible to install windows on the side walls, it is recommended to install skylights on the roof to ventilate the upper part of the room.

Ventilation

Frubau pays particular attention to ventilation systems in order to ensure an optimal living environment: for this reason, the lower part of the windows, both fixed and opening, can be equipped with manual hinged ventilators. In the roof, on the other hand, extractors are installed to capture the air, thus allowing it to be recycled.

Lighting

Frubau has designed lighting systems with halogen spotlights to be inserted into the roof beams. The bulbs installed are 20 or 35 watts, low voltage (12 V), to ensure greater safety.

Shade curtains

Shade curtains for roofs: awnings or motorized external roller blinds, internal pleated or "cloud" curtains.

Pleated mosquito nets

Finally, what sets Frubau products apart is the possibility of applying custom-made pleated mosquito screens to windows. Easy to use and with a minimal footprint, they are now an indispensable accessory in the summer months, allowing you to enjoy the interior of your home in peace, leaving the windows open.
