Tavillon Bois has mastered the techniques of shingle roofing and works with wood in keeping with the traditions and heritage of the canton of Vaud. The company applies traditional woodworking techniques to old and new roofs and frames, thus perpetuating the ancestral knowledge of the shingle roofer.
Roofing craftsmen at the service of housing: renovated farms, chalets, residential houses, etc.
Tavillon Bois manufactures and installs shingles for all types of roof and facade construction and renovation projects.
Made from high-quality wood felled in winter, preferably during the last quarter of the waning moon, shingles, which are generally made from spruce, are manufactured between November and March. The shingle maker's work is entirely artisanal and carried out in accordance with tradition. The shingle technique has the advantage of conforming to the irregularities of the wood.
Several types of wood are used for shingles: fir, larch, and chestnut.
