Carriage rides steeped in history and tradition
The history of Kutschenzentrale Davos is impressive and dates back to 1840. Originally, the family business was a transport company. In 1864, the Flüela Pass road was built. The federal government repeatedly put the concession for transport across the pass out to tender, and the Fopp family, as a proven transport partner, was awarded the contract time and time again. In the 19th century, most people were not yet familiar with the comforts of modern means of transport. With a great deal of effort and hard work, the Flopp family transported passengers and letters across the Flüela Pass in their specially designed Flüela Post Coach. The Fopp family was also involved in the transport of goods, transferring them from Landquart to Davos and from Davos to Süs. Today, it is still possible to take a ride in the historic Flüela post coach! Enjoy the special feeling of being driven through the enchanting Davos landscape in a horse-drawn carriage. We look forward to receiving your enquiry.
