Planning

We will try to meet your garden requirements in a joint, personal consultation and contribute what is necessary with our creative touch and many years of experience. Personal contact with our customers is very important to us, because our goal is to fulfill your garden dreams so that you can feel completely at home in your garden (again). We will be happy to draw up the necessary plans and sketches for better illustration. Please do not hesitate to contact us.

Maintain

Caring for created or existing habitats in a sustainable manner and according to biological principles—as little as possible, as much as necessary: that is our motto. With a tour of your garden, we will work with you to determine the necessary steps and measures to ensure long-term enjoyment and well-being in your garden.
 
We not only plan and build gardens and parks, we also maintain them. We manage all plants with great care, love, and knowledge of nature. You can take out a subscription with us. Depending on your needs, we will visit you once or several times a year for maintenance and/or care.

Building

As natural garden designers, we try to design gardens in harmony with nature so that people, plants, and animals can experience and enjoy them together in a way that is appropriate for the species and location. Our passion for our versatile profession, combined with our technical expertise, drives us to continue combining, complementing, and expanding the tried and tested with stylish modernity – in both private and public spaces. Combining beauty with utility is our daily challenge.

Our history

In 1960, Marino Vanzo decided to start his own business. With his VW Beetle, a cart on the roof, the necessary hand tools, and his expertise, he mainly worked in St. Gallen and the surrounding area. There were many opportunities to obtain well-paid and larger contracts. Through tireless hard work and his expertise, Vanzo Gartenbau developed into a medium-sized, healthy horticultural company, which at its peak had up to 16 co-entrepreneurs. Large construction sites were always Marino Vanzo's favorite jobs. Projects such as school buildings, large housing developments, hospitals, civil defense and shooting ranges, such as in Breitfeld St. Gallen, were not uncommon. He always needed new challenges, which he mastered with his very strict but fair manner.
 

In 1986, his son Bruno Vanzo joined the company and was hired as a foreman. Natural garden design became increasingly important to Bruno Vanzo. With his further training in natural stone processing and various courses in all aspects of garden design, the company developed in parallel.
Over time, the company was deliberately kept small in order to better respond to individual customer requests. The standards remained high. Vanzo Gartenbau mainly carried out projects that they advised on, planned, and executed themselves. As a result, the customer base changed and customer contact became more personal, which proved to be more pleasant for both sides.
 

In 1999, Bruno Vanzo took over the company, remaining true to his "small but fine" style, which he has never regretted. As the father of four children, Livio Vanzo, the youngest of the four, joined the company in 2016. Since father and son have the same attitude towards people and nature, it is easier to run the business together. It is always nice to feel a breath of fresh air, implement new methods, and see how the business is "rejuvenating" in a good way. The combination of the tried and tested and the progressive leaves nothing to be desired for the customer. Now we can work together in the third generation and fulfill our calling: to satisfy and make people and nature happy with our heart and soul.
