Monterana

Monterana is an unconventional living and educational space in Degersheim that accompanies children and young people from their first year of life through to the end of compulsory schooling and beyond (up to approx. 21 years). Located in a historic embroidery factory, the school offers a prepared environment for mixed-age, self-directed learning without the pressure of grades. The approach is based on trust, mindful presence, and the equal dignity of all participants. The school is organized as a cooperative association and requires active parental involvement. Operations are funded by income-dependent parental contributions. The offer includes Spiki (playgroup), Foundation Stage, Primary Stage, Secondary Stage, and Stage 5 for young adults.
