Welcome to S Hertig Electrical Installations
Electrical installations
Life without electricity is completely unimaginable. The importance of electrical energy will continue to grow in the future. On the one hand, this is because more and more equipment is powered by electricity. On the other hand, it is because electricity has established itself over many decades as an inexpensive, highly efficient, and safe source of energy.
Electricity is also a matter of trust. Improper installations are a danger to people and property. Although, in theory, even laypeople are allowed to carry out electrical installations (under certain restrictive conditions), it makes sense to hire a professional.
Electrical installations are also an investment in the future. Especially in new buildings or renovations, inexpensive solutions can be implemented that enable a wide range of useful and energy-saving functions. This means that the various areas of a house (lighting, blinds, access, alarm, ventilation/heating, energy measurement, etc.) can not only be operated, but also regulated, controlled, and analyzed. And that from anywhere.
Building technology
The trend towards networking the various components of building technology (electricity, water, heating, ventilation, access control, etc.) is likely to be irreversible in the long term. It is often possible to implement interesting functions using simple tools.
The demand for powerful, flexible, and clear building technology is not only understandable but also makes sense in terms of environmental protection.
Simple controls:
- Presence and motion detectors
- Remote switches via cell phone
- Central off switches for lights and other consumers, vacation absence programs (heating reduction, random control of lights/blinds)
- Biometric access systems: Keyless
More complex controls: - Networking of building technology via bus (e.g., KNX, Hager Tebis). Display of statuses on screen and/or touchscreen.
- Changes can be implemented purely on the software side.
Inspections
All electrical installations must be checked at various intervals to ensure their safety and functionality. Once the system has been found to be fault-free, this is recorded and documented in a safety certificate. The local electricity company will notify you of the necessary inspection before the deadline expires. It is the owner's responsibility to arrange for this inspection and to have any defects rectified.
As a safety consultant with a federal certificate, I am authorized to check installations for safety. I would also be happy to advise you on possible options that usually ensure a higher level of protection for people and property without requiring significant financial resources.
