This gem of a hotel has just awakened from its slumber – kissed awake by the desire and skill to lovingly restore all its historic details. DREAM

Our rooms have been renovated in keeping with their historical character and are equipped with excellent beds. This is history, nostalgia. And it is true relaxation.

DREAM, SLEEP WELL: WHETHER IN AN ORIGINAL HISTORICAL OR DELUXE ROOM – WITH US, YOU HAVE THE BEST CONDITIONS FOR A RESTFUL SLEEP.

Since 2021, the FLÜHLI Hotel Kurhaus has been a Swiss Historic Hotel: together with the Canton of Lucerne's historic preservation department, we have restored this beautiful building to the gem it was for so long.

Some rooms have a balcony, and all have their own bathroom. Probably the most important point for you as a guest: no matter which room you choose, our beds are really good. From the mattress toppers to the slatted frames to the mattresses, in 29 rooms on three floors.

We don't have televisions. We think they take up too much space. And they're not historical either. Our tip: switch off, it will be easy for you. We have nature here and a library in the lobby (and Wi-Fi throughout the hotel).

Our rooms: The Bel Etage features nostalgic rooms with Felder paneling, historically restored. On the second floor are the Kurhaus rooms, lovingly renovated and combined with fresh, charming elements.

And on the third floor, with sloping ceilings, are the deluxe rooms: spacious in layout, nostalgia and history interpreted in a modern way.

Good to know: there are three double rooms that are outside the historical context. They are intended for people who need a roof over their heads during multi-day hikes and simply want to relax and recharge their batteries.

ENJOY, EAT WELL: IN THE SÄÄLI, IN THE DINING ROOM, ON THE VERANDA, IN THE GARDEN – LOOK FORWARD TO WHAT WE BRING YOU.

Sophisticated, mannered? Back in 1899, that may have been the case here at the FLÜHLI Hotel Kurhaus. Today, we are completely different – more down-to-earth, unpretentious, versatile. And quite direct: Kafi Lutz, in any case. The well-selected champagne – likewise.

The same goes for our cuisine: we cook seasonally, regionally, and fresh. The focus is on enjoyment, tradition, and the occasional surprise. Yes, it should be cheerful: your mouth should water and the food should be a real pleasure.

At lunchtime, we offer a 3-course menu: good, fresh, and designed to get you back on your way on time. In the evening, pure enjoyment – with a 4-course Kurhaus menu and à la carte. We change our food and wine menus regularly to suit the seasons.

History is also present in the dining room, with original furniture from 1910. This is where our guests and people from the village meet. Sometimes for a mid-morning snack, coffee and croissants, nut croissants, and the newspaper.

Winter à la carte 

The Flühli-Stube has a more private, slightly more elegant atmosphere, and we set the tables with white tablecloths. But here, too, you can enjoy bratwurst and sometimes Suuren Mocken. And we don't expect you to wear a two-piece suit or a suit. Unless, of course, you want to.

On nice days—and we have many of those—you can eat in the garden if you like. The veranda is also spacious and inviting.

Gaze at the stars before you drift off to sleep. And in the morning, let yourself be swept away by the day ahead and experience something new.

Note: For vegetarians, we are happy to replace meat, poultry, and fish with other products. Vegans, we have to say, will not find what they are looking for here. Please let us know if you have any allergies. Thank you very much.

Even if you are not a classic nature lover, the surroundings here invite you to get out and about. The Entlebuch mountains, meadows, and forests allow you to see things differently; this natural environment casts many things in a different light: UNESCO Entlebuch Biosphere Reserve

So let's go hiking: there are easy hikes here, medium-difficulty hikes, and even very challenging ones. In winter, walking and hiking remain popular, and the trails are well maintained.
