The nature-loving daycare center in Forch
Under the leadership of Claudia Dubs and her competent and motivated team, children aged between 5 months and 5th grade can enjoy an unforgettable and unique experience.
At the Murmeli daycare center and its surroundings, we create the best conditions for bringing children closer to animals and nature. The children learn to take responsibility, make decisions independently, and act. They develop a strong personality with healthy self-esteem and high social skills.
Nursery
Origins and motivations
The Murmeli daycare center is the result of the original Knopf playgroup. It was founded by Claudia Dubs in 2000.
In 2015, we were granted cantonal approval for the Murmeli nursery. We care for a maximum of 62 children aged 5 months to 5th grade in a loving environment with plenty of contact with animals and nature.
Educational principles, goals, and tasks
The child is the center of our attention. Every child is an independent personality and has the right to be perceived, accompanied, and respected in their own way. The child is in the process of "becoming." In order to develop as much of their potential as possible, they need a variety of opportunities to gain experience. We respond to individual needs and abilities and help children to recognize themselves in their development (promoting self-confidence).
Children leave the protected, familiar environment of their family and enter the larger community of the nursery. They are confronted with a wealth of new experiences, joys, but also fears, and must learn to deal with them. We give children the space and time to experience opportunities to find their place in the group. Every child should feel safe and completely at ease with us. Our nursery has a positive attitude towards all educational influences. You are welcome to request our complete educational concept from us.

Unique experiences at the Murmeli nursery
Our program is very varied and offers many unique experiences. Whenever possible, we spend part of the day outdoors in the yard, in the forest, or sometimes in our teepee. We offer the children the opportunity to actively participate in everyday life with the farm animals and to help out. Would you like to know more about the detailed daily schedule? We are happy to provide information and look forward to hearing from you.
