The Fondation Franz Weber was founded in 1975 by the famous Swiss environmentalist after whom it is named. It conducts diverse and passionate campaigns in Switzerland and around the world to protect wildlife and nature.

Through investigations, public disclosures, intensive discussions, and lobbying, the Fondation Franz Weber (FFW) actively campaigns for the preservation of nature and the landscape, for greater biodiversity, and for intact natural habitats. The foundation campaigns against the increasing threats and cruel suffering of animals. It works tirelessly for the protection and recognition of animal rights and the abolition of brutal practices such as bullfighting and the exploitation of working animals.

The foundation regularly scores victories for our planet. It implements concrete projects, such as establishing and maintaining nature reserves, and submits popular initiatives and legal actions, which it wins. Whether it's elephants in Africa, seal pups in Canada, Australian wild horses, or beautiful landscapes, the FFW strives to show that nature and its splendor, wildlife, and life do not belong to one country, but to all of humanity.

FFW believes that humans are part of their environment, nature, and the Earth. It is therefore our duty to defend them again and again and to give a voice to those who have none.
