Reconstructive dentistry is used when teeth are damaged or missing. A damaged tooth (e.g., due to caries or a leaky old filling) can be functionally and aesthetically restored using a ceramic partial crown. The remaining healthy tooth substance is preserved in the process. If the tooth is severely damaged, a full crown offers the most stable restoration.
