Founded 35 years ago, Brodard Chauffage SA can provide professional answers to all your heating-related questions.
Ecology
Heating is the most energy-intensive aspect of a home. It accounts for around 90% of energy consumption. 60% is used to heat the home and 30% to produce hot water.
Subsidies
The canton of Vaud and its municipalities have introduced a series of incentives to encourage energy-saving projects, energy efficiency, and the production of heat or electricity from renewable sources.
Wood/Pellet Heating
Wood heating is very efficient as well as being environmentally friendly and economical. This energy source is making a comeback thanks to the introduction of fully automated pellet boilers that require no maintenance. The use of wood pellets also makes storage easier, as they are much more compact than traditional logs.
From an ecological point of view, wood is a very good choice. Although burning wood releases CO2, it has been proven that a tree captures more CO2 between the time it is planted and the time it is cut down than it releases when burned.
Wood is currently the cheapest fuel available and is therefore more economical to use than gas or oil.
Gas heating
Gas heating is an excellent solution if your home is connected to the gas network. The latest generation of boilers, known as condensing boilers, offer significant gas savings while protecting the environment. Thanks to its continuous supply, gas heating is very easy to use.
It is also possible to heat your home with gas even if you are not connected to the gas network by installing a tank.
We mainly work with the major players in the market, namely Vaillant and De Dietrich, but we can also work with all other brands.
Heat pump
Heat pump heating offers many advantages. Operating and heating costs are reduced and its use is very low in pollution. From an ecological point of view, the heat pump is one of the best choices. Powered by electricity, the heat pump does not depend on fossil fuels and is therefore not affected by fluctuations in the price of natural gas, fuel oil, and coal.
Heat pumps can also be used for ventilation, cooling, and even hot water production.
Heat pumps are three to four times cheaper to run than fossil fuels. We work with all brands, but mainly with the European leader Alpha Innotec.
After a detailed analysis of your needs, we will determine the power required and the type of heat pump that best suits your situation. We will recommend the most suitable heat pump and provide you with a quote.
Whether it's a new build or a renovation, we are available to answer all your questions about the installation and use of a heat pump. We will also provide you with information on the possibilities of cantonal and municipal subsidies for the installation of a heat pump, particularly in the case of replacing direct electric heating.
Oil heating
Oil heating remains the most economical option today. Significant advances made by manufacturers in recent years, particularly with the introduction of condensing boilers, have reduced the environmental impact and also significantly reduced oil consumption.
More and more homeowners are choosing to replace older, energy-intensive boilers with condensing boilers, which are much more efficient and therefore less polluting. It is also possible to further reduce fossil fuel consumption by combining an oil heating system with a renewable energy source such as solar energy.
Solar energy can produce all the hot water you need during the summer months, allowing you to turn off your oil heating during this period. Oil can also be completely replaced by alternative energy sources such as natural gas, heat pumps, or wood heating. In any case, a detailed study of your energy needs will enable us to advise you on the solution best suited to your situation.
We are at your disposal for any information concerning the installation, renovation, and replacement of your oil-fired boiler, and also if you wish to do away with it altogether by integrating renewable energies.
Solar thermal panels
The use of solar energy offers many advantages. It can radically reduce your consumption and dependence on fossil fuels, thereby effectively reducing your environmental impact while keeping your budget under control.
A solar thermal installation can produce half of the hot water needs of a single-family home. This hot water can also be used for sanitary purposes such as dishwashers and washing machines.
It is also possible to use solar energy for heating, in which case it can produce up to 25% of the energy required. As solar panels are the centerpiece of a solar installation, we work with the best suppliers, including Nau and Vaillant, two major players in the market. Thanks to our partnerships with tinsmiths, we are able to install panels on tiles or flush-mounted. Please do not hesitate to contact us to find out how to optimally integrate solar thermal energy into your heating system and thus significantly reduce your energy consumption. Solar heating also allows you to benefit from cantonal and municipal subsidies. We will be happy to provide you with information on this subject.
Mobile boiler room:
We also offer a mobile boiler rental service. This solution will ensure you have heating and hot water at all times. Our mobile boiler is ideal in the event of a heating system failure, boiler replacement, maintenance work on your water heater, or when your boiler is no longer powerful enough.
Our fully autonomous mobile boiler room has a power output of 9 to 300 kW. When you rent from us, we take care of delivering and installing the mobile boiler room to ensure optimal installation. By managing the entire installation process, we can guarantee efficient and very fast commissioning.
Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information about our mobile boiler rental service.
