Our waste collection services
With our modern fleet of vehicles, we have been providing reliable and competent waste collection services in numerous municipalities in the Glarus region, the March region, and the Linth region for many years. Our vehicles are now equipped with container weighing devices, enabling us to offer industry and commerce waste collection services with weight recording. The container weighing equipment is calibrated annually and checked by the responsible calibration officer. Thanks to our IT systems, we can offer our customers a complete solution from waste collection to customer management, invoicing, payment control, and dunning.
Here are a few tips on waste collection that make life easier for all of us
make life easier...
- Do not overfill or seal garbage bags so that they can still be lifted by the strings without tearing.
- Do not put sharp or pointed objects such as knives, syringes, etc.
(risk of injury!) - Only put combustible material that cannot be recycled
in the garbage bags - Only use the fee bags or bags with fee stamps that are valid in the collection area
with fee stamps - Place a large enough fee sticker on bulky waste
- Overfilled commercial containers cannot be emptied,
as this will interfere with weight recording. - Place waste in a timely manner and in a clearly visible location
(collections start at 7 a.m.) - Trim trees and shrubs that hang over the street in good time and sufficiently. Otherwise, there is a risk that they will hit our loaders in the face or damage the cables and hoses on the roof of the garbage truck or its mirrors and paintwork. According to traffic regulations, no obstacles may protrude into the street above a height of 4.50 m.
Our cardboard collection services
For several years now, we have been offering separate collection of waste cardboard for industry, commerce, and municipalities. We collect the cardboard from our customers with a garbage truck and send it for recycling. Compensation is paid quarterly based on the weight of the cardboard collected. It is even slightly lower than if the cardboard were disposed of as commercial waste. Depending on the quantity and storage capacity at the customer's premises, collection can take place weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or on request. To ensure that the cardboard can be reused, it is important that it does not contain any foreign materials such as Styrofoam filling material, plastic bags, wood, metal, glass, food residues, etc. Unfortunately, we often encounter unpleasant surprises in this regard, especially at municipal collection points, when people misuse the cardboard collection for illegal waste disposal.
Whether this is intentional or whether they assume that the cardboard will be taken to the waste incineration plant because it is collected by the garbage truck is beyond our knowledge. Unfortunately, however, their behavior means that our staff have to laboriously and time-consumingly check the contents of all closed boxes and paper bags, etc.

Here are a few tips on cardboard collection
that will make life easier for us (all)...
- Only put clean cardboard in the collection, no foreign materials such as Styrofoam filling material, plastic bags, glass, food, etc.
- Remove any foreign materials yourself and dispose of them in the appropriate separate collection (e.g., Wannerit, glass, PET, etc.) or, if there is no such collection, dispose of them with the regular trash.
- Packaging such as milk cartons that have a plastic screw cap and plastic and aluminum coatings on the inside belong in the trash and are not suitable for cardboard collection.
- Collection points are loaded into the garbage truck by hand. Therefore, small pieces of cardboard should be packed into larger boxes. It is tedious to have to gather 100 toilet paper cardboard rolls from the floor...
Possible uses for our work platforms
For work at height where a ladder is too dangerous or too cumbersome and where setting up scaffolding is not worthwhile or not possible, we offer our practical work platforms for hire. If you have the appropriate driver's license, they can be hired for self-service or they can also be hired complete with an employee to operate them.
Here are some possible applications:
- Painting work on facades and soffits
- Tree cutting
- Cleaning windows and facades
- Repairs to roofs, windows, roller shutters, etc.
- Cleaning roof drains
- Maintenance of street lighting
- Installation of billboards, advertising banners, decorations, Christmas lights, etc.
