Marc Flachsmann took over the business in Winterthur on January 1, 2014, and the Glattfelden location from Mr. Fredi Riediker on August 1, 2015. Marc Flachsmann is a federally certified master chimney sweep and combustion inspector.

Chimney sweep

As chimney sweeps, we carry out regular cleaning to help you save fuel, increase the service life of your heating system, and support fire safety.

The chimney sweep carries out the following work:

Oil heating
Oil heating systems that operate year-round must be cleaned twice a year. For winter heating systems (oil heating systems that only operate during the winter months), the oil heating system must be cleaned once a year.

Gas heating systems
Gas-fired heating systems must be inspected and cleaned by a chimney sweep once a year (room-sealed systems every two years). According to the SVGW, the G205 certificate is required for inspection and cleaning work on gas-fired combustion systems.

Log, wood pellet, and wood chip heating systems
We generally recommend having your heating system cleaned twice a year.

Fireplaces and wood-burning stoves
Cleaning interval depending on use, but at least every 5 years.

Tiled stoves, cookers, portable stoves
If your wood-fired tiled stove, cooker, or portable stove is in active use, we recommend cleaning at least every two years.
