Wood as a raw material

At the sawmill, we cut fine-grained round timber from the surrounding mountain forests of Habkern into special assortments that are not available in stores (e.g., large, extra-long dimensions, etc.).

Wood is an environmentally friendly material that offers many possibilities for processing and allows scope for creativity.

We plane our own paneling in various widths and lengths.

We only use wood that has been felled in winter, as was the case in the past. Even today, there are log buildings in Habkern that are over 400 years old and still serve as homes.

Log construction

Log construction involves laying round or square logs on top of each other in layers.

Log construction is our strength. We combine and apply the latest findings with traditional knowledge. Holzbau Zenger's log cabins are ecological, durable, and offer a good living environment. We plane (plaster) the tied log cabin walls by hand, rather than sanding them.

Conversions / Renovations / Monument preservation

We carry out customer orders in this area in both traditional and modern styles.
Here, too, we use local, unglued wood wherever possible. Particularly beautiful paneling for interior design or formwork in spruce or mountain pine (Dähle) comes from our own production.
Thermal insulation and insulation are ecological in nature, whether cellulose, wood fibers, sheep's wool, etc.

Furniture / Interior furnishings

We offer a range of furniture and furnishings for the garden or home. We also supply traditional-style alpine dairy equipment. Stairs are another product from our workshop.
