The more dignified dining room offers a friendly atmosphere for small and large events. The kitchen offers inexpensive and fresh menus at lunchtime, supplemented by the à la carte menu. The cooking is home-style and based on sound specialist knowledge. We cook fresh every day! We source products from the region wherever possible.
About us - Ursula and Willi Huber have been running their Restaurant zur Kreuzstrasse with great enthusiasm since September 2001. Willi Huber, from the Huber family of restaurateurs, Restaurant Obermühle in Flaach, spoils guests with professional expertise and as many local products as possible. He makes a point of checking every order, whether it's meat from the Würmli butcher's shop in Elgg or vegetables from the Gunterswiler family in Frauenfeld. He enjoys creating tried-and-tested and seasonal dishes from the kitchen. His credo: fresh and homemade. Ursula Huber, née Frei from Kreuzstrasse, loves gastronomy, even though she trained as a nurse. The contact with the guests and the knowledge that fine things come from the kitchen and the wine cellar motivate her every day. With her family, three almost grown-up children, the family lives in Kreuzstrasse and, as a family business, everyone helps out when necessary.We are happy to combine or change.
