Our history

On July 1, 1981, Sepp Wagner founded his sole proprietorship "Spenglerarbeiten und Kupferschmiede" (plumbing and coppersmithing). The workshop was set up in an old, rented garage building in Kernmatt in Kägiswil. From autumn 1981, the newly formed company employed one person and was able to count on the help of temporary staff.

In the fall of 1987, construction began on the new workshop on Kägiswilerstrasse. The new workshop building was set up and the machinery was moved to the new location in January 1988.

Another step taken by the company was to add roofing to its range of services and hire an experienced roofer. The number of employees grew steadily during this period. There were already five employees on the payroll.

Sepp Wagner was also keen to give young people the opportunity to learn a very interesting and varied profession in their own village. A total of five apprentices have successfully completed their vocational training to date.

In 1995, after careful consideration, the sole proprietorship "Sepp Wagner" was converted into "Sepp Wagner GmbH."

Sepp Wagner GmbH took a big step towards the future when it moved into the newly constructed commercial building in the Industrie Sand industrial park in Kerns in the spring of 2013.
