The village lies between the left bank of the Limmat and the wooded northeast slope of the Heitersberg, which is crisscrossed by numerous ravines. While the old village center is located at the foot of the Heitersberg, the new neighborhoods are situated on the flat, narrow plain between the village center and the train station. At an altitude of around 660 meters, the small hamlet of Sennenberg lies in a forest clearing.
