Melliger Driving School in Laupen – Canton of Bern

My name is Stefan Melliger and I have been giving car and motorcycle driving lessons in the Laupen BE and Fribourg region since 2006. I guarantee my students an informative, serious, interesting, and practical training. I enjoy supporting young people on their way to becoming independent car or motorcycle drivers. In a pleasant atmosphere, you will learn how to drive safely, without stress, but with a lot of fun.

Driving lessons last approximately 1 hour and pick-up locations can be arranged individually.

The driving lessons are structured schematically. At the beginning, you will get to know the vehicle, in my case a Skoda Fabia (manual and automatic), followed by basic training, getting to know the roads, learning how to behave, and later independent driving.

During the driving lessons, there are important points such as dynamic vision, anticipating dangers, signals, turning, sequence of vision, and of course maneuvers such as parking, reversing, etc.

I support my students and respond to their needs so that they can later drive safely on the roads.

Traffic theory

Traffic course

The traffic theory course is mandatory and must be completed before taking the driving test. The course consists of four parts, each lasting two hours.

The courses take place at my driving school in Laupen, just a two-minute walk from Laupen train station in the "green house" on Hauptstrasse, opposite the Löwen restaurant.

Traffic theory structure:

The first part is devoted to traffic vision.

The second part deals with partner and road safety.

The third part covers vehicle safety and driving physics.

The fourth part covers driving ability, economical and defensive driving.

Basic motorcycle courses

Motorcycle lessons in the Laupen BE and Fribourg region

I provide practical lessons for motorcyclists wishing to obtain a category A1 (up to 125 cm3) or A (over 125 cm3) license.

Basic course for motorcycle category A1 (8 lessons) & category A (12 lessons)

The courses consist of three block courses, during which various exercises are carried out, such as handling course, balance training, vision training, braking, practical driving in traffic, cornering, uphill and downhill driving, etc.

► IMPORTANT: For the basic courses, you must have a learner's permit and your own motorcycle.

The path to a driver's license

With Theory 24, you can conveniently study traffic theory online from home or on the go, always with the latest questions. Theory 24 is available for categories A, A1, B, G, and M.

You can access Theorie 24 online or via a VIP card, which can also be purchased at the driving school for CHF 29. Access is activated for two months after the first use.
