To continuously improve our quality and environmental systems, we are supported by the ISO 9001 quality standard, which we have complied with since 1997, and the ISO 14001 environmental standard, which we have complied with since 1999. In 2002, our tanker drivers were also subjected to a more stringent SQAS (Safety and Quality Assessment System) assessment, specifically for the transport of dangerous goods, which we passed with very good results.

All certifications, i.e., those of the ISO standards and the SQAS assessment, are repeated at regular intervals of three years. This enables us to guarantee that our name, Föry Barmettler, stands for quality.

Eco heating oil 50 ppm, low sulfur

• Eco heating oil, low sulfur, meets the quality requirements of Swiss standard 181'160-2:2006. Unlike Euro quality (extra light heating oil), it has a minimum sulfur content of max. 50 ppm (0.005%) and a guaranteed nitrogen content of less than 100 mg/kg. Eco heating oil can be used in any combustion system. The minimal sulfur dioxide content guarantees trouble-free heating operation throughout the year. Thanks to the limited nitrogen content in the fuel, nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gases are also reduced to a minimum, actively contributing to environmental protection.
• Systems that are fired with extra-light heating oil and in which the combustion control detects that the nitrogen oxide value has been exceeded can, in most cases, be operated correctly again in terms of air hygiene by switching to low-sulfur eco heating oil.
• In general, a switch to low-sulfur eco heating oil should be made when the tank is practically empty and has been cleaned. After switching to eco heating oil, the burner should be readjusted by a service technician.
