The Office of Disability Insurance of the Canton of Neuchâtel (OAI NE) is an autonomous public institution, created in 1995, responsible for implementing federal disability insurance legislation. Its primary mission is to promote the autonomy of insured persons by supporting their continued employment, professional reintegration through specific rehabilitation measures, or, as a last resort, by paying a disability pension. The office is supervised by the Federal Social Insurance Office (OFAS) and reports to the Department of Employment and Social Cohesion of the Canton of Neuchâtel.
