HNO-Gemeinschaftspraxis Lachen

In 2006, Dr. M. Birchler founded a modern ENT practice in Lachen.
With two consultation rooms and its own operating theater, the practice offers a wide range of treatments.
Dr. Birchler works as an attending physician at the hospitals in Lachen, Einsiedeln, and the Paracelsus Clinic in Richterswil.

Since 2014, Dr. D. Metzger has been working as an independent physician at the practice 2 1/2 days a week, so that consultation appointments can now be offered daily from Monday to Friday.

Practice philosophy

Our goal is to offer the widest possible range of treatments for ear, nose, and throat diseases in the region.
Dr. Birchler is also a specialist in aesthetic problems of the face. The focus is not only on individual aspects, but on the face as a whole.

Medical examinations and treatments

Dr. Birchler and Dr. Metzger treat ENT diseases in children and adults according to the same concepts, and difficult cases are discussed as a team.

Surgeries in hospitals are performed by Dr. Birchler.

Dr. Metzger specializes in the assessment of patients with vertigo and neck ultrasonography.

Surgery

Dr. Birchler specializes in nasal surgery and facial surgery.

Surgery under local anesthesia in the practice operating room:
Removal of skin tumors. Plastic and reconstructive facial surgery; tumor defect coverage, scar correction, injuries.

Functional surgery:
Nasal septum corrections and sinus procedures to improve breathing and reduce frequent sinus infections. Removal of nasal polyps.

Cosmetic surgery:
Rhinoplasty to improve aesthetic appearance. Combined functional and aesthetic rhinoplasty. Eyelid surgery. Correction of protruding ears.

Other surgeries:
Tonsil surgery. Ear tubes. Removal of lymph nodes and salivary glands in the neck. Severe throat infections (deep throat abscesses) and more...

Anti-aging

Facial aesthetic consultations and treatments are performed by Dr. Birchler. These include:

• Consultations on facial care and skin health.
• Wrinkle treatments with hyaluronic acid fillers and Botox.
• 3-step peeling (deep chemical peeling for the treatment of scars, sun damage, skin rejuvenation).
• Consultations on surgical procedures.

In November 2013, Dr. Birchler attended a special course on skin rejuvenation and facial care with renowned skin expert Dr. Zein Obagi in Beverly Hills, California.
The revolutionary ZO® Skin Health product line has been incorporated into the treatment concept. These highly effective skin care products are not available on the open market.
