· Need for social contact (to break social isolation).

These conditions are not exhaustive and may vary in order to maintain a balance among the tenant population.

Concept

The Institution de Béthanie rents out accommodation in a complex that meets the most demanding requirements in terms of quality of life (architecture, environment, nature), independence, and autonomy, with the possibility of benefiting from services on demand at any time, according to individual wishes and needs.

These services are described on this website. They include medical and nursing care, hotel services, and various other services.

The "senior housing" concept offered by the Bethany Institution complements the existing range of care services for the elderly.

This offering is part of the Vaud medical and social policy for the elderly and, alongside nursing homes and home care services, constitutes the third pillar, officially known as "intermediate structure."

When developing this project, the Bethany Institution drew inspiration from the concept developed by the Vaud cantonal authorities. At the time, such housing, known as "secure group apartments," was to be built near a nursing home in order to take advantage of all possible synergies.

What is meant by synergies?

The nursing home, which provides both care and hotel services to its residents on a daily basis, is able to offer the same services at any time and in record time to the tenants of the senior housing.
