Connaissance 3 offers conferences in eleven regions of the canton of Vaud, courses and seminars, as well as cultural and scientific visits and participatory research projects.[2][3][9]

Activities are primarily aimed at seniors but are open to everyone, with no age limit and no diploma required to participate.[2][3][5]

Connaissance 3 acts as a bridge between academic knowledge and society, promoting lifelong learning and greater recognition of the contribution of seniors through its programmes and research projects.[2][3][9]

Many activities are conceived, selected and organised by around 120 mainly senior volunteers, who work alongside a small professional team to build the programme each semester.[3]

Connaissance 3 offers reduced fees for people receiving supplementary benefits, holders of the Caritas card and people of AVS age receiving health insurance subsidies, and a solidarity subscription in partnership with the Esther Locher Gurtner Foundation for retirees with specific benefits.[3][6]
