The beautiful vaulted cellar in the picturesque village center of Ligerz is the best place for a cozy meal or simply a delicious glass of Lake Biel wine.
We are happy to spoil you with seasonal menus made from fresh, regional products, the delicious "Entrecôte Chez Nous" with original Café de Paris from Geneva, fresh fish from Lake Biel, or, from January to March, the traditional Treberwurst sausage.
The Caveau is located in the heart of the Three Lakes Region, in the village center of Ligerz. Easily accessible by boat, train, bicycle, or car, we also recommend a hike along the pilgrimage route, the lake shore with its fish trail, or along the vineyards from Twann or La Neuveville. Last but not least, rumor has it that even a piece of the Röstigraben is visible in the Caveau...

We offer a small menu with fresh products. On our menu you will find dishes such as the Entrecôte Café de Paris "Chez nous," based on the principle of the famous restaurant "Chez Boubier" in Geneva, fresh Lake Biel fish according to the motto "catch of the day," and changing daily menus. Of course, children and vegetarians are not neglected either.
Treberwurst
THE SCHNAPS IDEA FROM LAKE BIEL
Originally, making Treberwurst was the easiest way for winegrowers working in the vineyards to heat up their snack sausage. Since the mid-1920s, this schnapps idea has also been served to select guests. This traditional specialty is only served during the distilling season, from January to March. Our sausages are lovingly prepared in Ligerz at Sali Hazeraj's distillery.

Wir waren in allen Belangen sehr zufrieden. Einzige Ausnahme: Die älteren Stühle in der Gasse sollten ersetzt werden. Sie passen wohl zur Umgebung; sie sind aber unbequem und defekt.
