Hotel & Gastro Union - The employee organization
The Hotel & Gastro Union has been the employee organization for the Swiss hospitality industry and the bakery, confectionery, and pastry sector since 1886. It is actively involved in professional networking, training, and continuing education, as well as social security. Its primary goal is to promote the status of professions in the hospitality industry. Hotel & Gastro Union has almost 20,000 members and brings together five professional associations under one roof. These are the Swiss Chefs Association and the professional associations for service/catering, hospitality & housekeeping, hotel, administration & management, and bakery & confectionery. Also integrated are Hotellerie Gastronomie Verlag with its weekly newspaper and themed magazines, as well as the job platform gastrojob.ch.
