Connective Tissue Massage
The technique was discovered in Germany by medical professor Elisabeth Dicke.
Due to illness, she was forced to remain in bed for a long period of time. Because of reduced circulation, she was at risk of losing a lower limb through amputation.
To avoid this fate, Dicke began to treat herself in the lumbar region and then also on the affected leg.
As her circulation improved, she felt a tingling sensation in her leg and was thus able to avoid surgery.
With the various techniques of Connective Tissue Massage, we can, for example, change a patient's posture.
Its reflex effect stimulates the functioning of an internal organ.
Pulling on a dermatome stimulates the corresponding segment (nerve), which in turn sends information to the organ concerned.
Connective tissue takes its name from its function.
It connects and separates the various structures from each other for protection, allows movement between them, gives them their shape, and makes it possible to nourish them.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
With Manual Lymphatic Drainage, we intervene on the body's water balance.
Danish biologist Emil Vodder, together with his wife Estrid , continued to study and develop the facts and techniques already known about the lymphatic system, and then put them into practice in a hospital on the French Riviera. His patients were mainly citizens of Nordic countries, many of whom suffered from chronic colds due to the often cold and damp weather.
This gentle and relaxing technique is highly appreciated in beauty salons. In nursing homes, on the other hand, it is very effective in the rehabilitation of patients after surgery. It significantly speeds up healing and removes edema, which promotes and accelerates overall recovery.
Classic Massage
Massage is the oldest form of therapy in existence, practiced by various civilizations for thousands of years.
It is decontracting, draining, relaxing, and toning. It is usually performed on the whole body, with fairly free maneuvers and sequences, but it can also be practiced on individual areas.
Regular use is recommended to prevent the onset of muscle tension, which can lead to future disorders or illness.
Price / Hours
To obtain the maximum benefit from a treatment, a session usually lasts one hour and costs CHF 100.00.
All the techniques offered are recognized by the major complementary health insurance companies.
Whether and to what extent your insurance will reimburse you depends on your insurance policy and may vary from person to person. I therefore recommend that you contact your insurer for more information.
