BIM
A buzzword that everyone is talking about, but few know what it means:
The term BIM (Building Information Modeling) describes a method of optimized planning, execution, and management of buildings and other structures with the help of software. All relevant building data is digitally modeled, combined, and recorded. BIM is used in construction for building planning and execution as well as in facility management.
BIM, so what?
BIM is more than just 3D planning. We have been planning exclusively in 3 dimensions for over 10 years. Coordination in 3D and collision testing are a matter of course for us and are therefore part of our daily good engineering practice. BIM is not a solution but an intermediate step on the way to digital production. Our goal is the digital factory, where all processes can be digitally simulated and optimized even before the first test run.
