Comprehensive medical care

The Malters Medical Center was established in 2010 through the merger of three local general practices run by Dr. Bruno Zaugg, Dr. Eric Wigger (predecessor to Dr. Hans Wehrmüller), and Dr. Bernhard Estermann. Population growth, the increase in the number of elderly people, and the growth in medical possibilities and necessities required continuous adaptation of medical capacities. Currently, eight doctors work in our family practice eight doctors, and since May 2019 our team has been joined by Regina Babica, a specialist in gynecology, and since November 2019 by Dr. Thomas Baur. In addition, we have been able to recruit Dr. Juliane Legnini as a family doctor from 2022. Dr. Pascal Distel will join us in June 2023 and Dr. Tabea Zaugg in August 2023. Marieke Raffenberg will also be joining our team of doctors in June 2024. Our goal is to provide individual, holistic, and consistent care in the doctor-patient relationship. Our medical practice assistants are also becoming increasingly important, relieving us of many tasks and becoming more and more competent. After just five years, the medical center had to be expanded by six additional consultation rooms.
