THETAZ Ingénieurs Civils SA

The office is headed by Mr. Jean-François Thétaz, an ETS engineer who graduated from the Fribourg School of Engineering in 1987.

The office is registered on the permanent list of civil engineers of the State of Valais and is a member of the Valais Association of Construction Contractors (AVMC).

Its main area of activity focuses on reinforced concrete, metal and timber structures. It is able to carry out construction projects (buildings, industrial halls, etc.), renovation work, building structures, sewer collectors, road developments, river correction and river embankments.
The office is equipped with five networked workstations:

• Four workstations are equipped with design software
• (2 x Autodesk Architectural Desktop and 2 x Autocad)
• and the Bacad reinforcement program. These
• programs are regularly updated and are
• compatible with DXF-DWG and other files.
• Each workstation is equipped with
• administrative programs such as Word, Excel, etc.
• One workstation is equipped with calculation programs such as
• Cédrus 5 for calculating plates and other
• dimensioning programs. This workstation is
• also equipped with drawing and
• reinforcement programs such as those described above.
• Finally, one last workstation is equipped with
• administrative programs such as Word, Excel, CAN
• submission...
• All these workstations are connected to a central plotter
• for printing the various execution plans
• and to various printers.

Building engineer

Design, calculations, tendering, and design of reinforced concrete, metal, or wooden frames for the construction or conversion of buildings, villas, and various structures in the housing sector.

Civil engineering

Study, estimates, tendering and design of road developments, engineering structures, car parks and underground infrastructure.

Earthquake resistance

Study and design of earthquake-resistant elements in various structures. Preparation of earthquake resistance pre-dimensioning reports (RPP) and compliance reports upon completion of the work.

Industrial projects

Study, calculations, and design of industrial projects or commercial spaces such as halls, workshops, and structures with metal, wood, or reinforced concrete roofs.
