Since 1983, we have been selling and servicing photocopiers, printers, and multifunction devices in the canton of Mendrisio, as well as running a modern printing center.

Tradition
Memocopia S.A. was founded in 1983 and became the exclusive representative in the canton of Ticino for CITO, a well-known and long-established Basel-based manufacturer of alcohol duplicators, ink mimeographs, and addressing machines since 1925. These devices are used by many users: schools, public bodies, and private companies. Although the Ticino-based company is still in its infancy, it already boasts a number of significant installations.

Dynamism
From the outset, however, the most advanced technologies have required the company to continuously and constantly update its systems in order to remain at the forefront of the market. These were years of great change, with reproduction systems moving towards xerographic processes, computers appearing on every desk, and the first fax machines beginning to communicate with each other. Memocopia S.A. was ready to face the new challenges, with a young and well-trained staff ready to deal with the new developments. In 1986, the company signed an official reseller agreement with Canon, a manufacturer that within a few years would become the undisputed leader in the sector on the world markets, still in first place in terms of number of devices sold.

In 1987, the young Ticino-based company already had its own fax machine. This may seem amusing today, but at the time, there were very few users of this new means of communication in the area! In 1989, for its "service center," intended as a copy and blueprint reproduction laboratory for customers, the company purchased one of the world's first Canon digital color laser copiers. The device was presented in a world premiere in Basel. The investment was significant but guaranteed the possibility of immediately verifying the enormous potential offered by what would become the era of "digital" devices in the years to come.

Evolution
Finally, today, "digital" technology has also embraced the sector with a certain vigor: Memocopia S.A. continues to cater to a "local" user base which, however, in recent years, has seen its communication and information management needs grow. We believe that the maturity our company has acquired, its background, its know-how, and the choice of leading products and commercial partners are the best weapons for facing the new challenges that await us in the coming years. Our staff now consists of four internal employees and three external employees dedicated exclusively to customer service. Each of them is focused on a future of progressive evolution. Every year, they attend refresher courses, visit the most important trade fairs in Europe, and always strive to provide the right solution for the needs of the moment, while anticipating new and different needs that may arise. Thanks to the trust our customers have placed in us for so long, we hope to be able to continue doing this for a long time to come. This is our philosophy. We believe in it!
