Jean-Michel Vuadens SA

Based in Monthey, the JMVUADENS surveying and engineering firm is involved in a wide range of activities, mainly in the Chablais region of Valais, but also in French-speaking Valais and beyond, depending on opportunities. It was founded in 1977 by Jean-Michel Vuadens and taken over in 2018 by Philippe Vuadens.

The firm currently has 17 employees, including four engineers, three technicians, four geomatics engineers, one mason/surveyor's assistant, one accounting secretary, one executive secretary, and three apprentices.

In addition to its traditional official surveying activities, the office has numerous technical and industrial surveying contracts. It also specializes in bathymetric surveys on Lake Geneva and the Rhône, drone flights, and all related products: orthophotos, volume calculations, and 3D visualization.

The Chablais surveying office is also active in multidisciplinary work, collaborating either as a leader or as a partner in major projects such as development and zoning plans, general water drainage plans (PGEE), bridge and tunnel installations, and work related to the third correction of the Rhône.

Aware of the importance of good training, JMVUADENS has always been committed to training apprentices, currently numbering three. It collaborates as an expert in the CFC end-of-apprenticeship exams for surveyors and technicians, as well as in the federal certification exam for surveyors. The office is also involved in preparing inter-company training courses.
