Therapies offered by Nancy De Novellis' Alternative Medicine Practice

Foot and palm reflexology

Dr. W. Fitzerlald (1872-1942) is considered the rediscoverer of this method. In 1902, he began to study and experiment with what he himself called "ZONE THERAPY," now recognized as foot reflexology. The concept of this method is a treatment using pressure from the fingers on specific points on the feet or hands. This was already known 5000 years ago in India and China, and in Europe around 1852. Various Native American tribes learned about reflexology by treating their illnesses, and this technique is still practiced on Indian reservations today.

Foot or palm reflexology helps individuals restore their energy balance and promotes good health.

This is known as the "science of reflexes," understood as the areas connected to specific organs of the body. It is based on the principle that all organs and glands are reflected on the feet and hands, stimulating circulation, the nervous system, and the immune system.

 

Chakra reflexology

Chakra reflexology is a very ancient, spiritual technique practiced by Hindu sages. There are 7 chakra points, which are vortexes of energy and have the ability to restore balance and unblock emotions. They are located along the spine, starting from the bottom and moving upwards.

Chromotherapy and Reflexochromia

Chromotherapy is known as healing through colors. In 1666, physicist and astronomer Isaac Newton discovered that sunlight contains all seven colors of the rainbow, each of which has its own function.

Chromotherapy was already practiced in ancient Greece and Egypt, as well as in ancient Indian and Chinese civilizations, where it was used to restore harmony and balance. The color of clothing or cultural contexts are attributed to colors with specific meanings or powers, as in religion (black cassock), rituals, and politics, or as in the black toga worn by a prosecutor or magistrate during a trial.

As we can see, chromotherapy does not only work with lights, but also with the colors of our clothing, or simply by using pieces of fabric and placing them on specific points to achieve a therapeutic effect.

Reflexochromia is also chromotherapy but performed on the feet, working on the points of foot reflexology with specific colors (one for 2 minutes and one for 20 seconds). The second color is the one that acts, working on the pathology and stimulating the organ.
