The human body is a whole, a complex functional unit. This is the conclusion I came to after treating many patients as a physical therapist, and it led me to seek a more holistic approach that integrated these concepts of unity. I therefore decided to deepen my knowledge by continuing my training with studies in osteopathy, a profession I have been practicing for over 20 years now!

These studies allowed me to discover the very essence of osteopathy. An injury to a structure (bone, ligament, muscle, viscera, etc.) will automatically lead to an imbalance in the corresponding function (locomotion, digestion, etc.). At the same time, the body has an incredible capacity for self-regulation. It simply wants to restore and maintain its health.

The osteopath will be interested not only in your physical condition but also in your general state of health. This information is very important in helping the osteopath to get an idea of the "terrain" on which he or she will be working.

That is why, during the first consultation, the practitioner will fill out a detailed medical history with you in order to establish the most accurate diagnosis possible, which they will supplement with osteopathic palpatory tests. Stress and tension lead to imbalances and general exhaustion, which contribute to the appearance of physical symptoms.

We will treat a fit athlete who has fallen off their bike differently from someone close to burnout who is consulting for neck pain and headaches.
