Martial Guignet founded his door and window closure systems company in 1997, after completing his apprenticeship as a locksmith and gaining several years of experience.

He quickly became interested in doors of all kinds. That's when Martial Guignet created the company Fermaporte.

He completed various training courses on fire doors in 2005 and then converted Fermaporte into a limited liability company in 2013.

Fermaporte currently has five employees, operates throughout French-speaking Switzerland, and works with Swiss and European manufacturers.
