We are a service provider and support carpenters and planners in the construction of solid wood houses. Our state-of-the-art factory produces the houses and delivers them to our partners for assembly.

We do not have any licenses or territorial protection; we support a free market and offer architects and carpenters the support they need to meet the high quality requirements of the market. In addition to planning support, we can also assist you with assembly.

Living in wood

A comfortable living environment from day one

 

Immediately dry, comfortable living

By using dried wood and completely avoiding the use of adhesives or mortar, an MHM house immediately provides a dry, comfortable living environment. The diffusion-open construction method and the dry building material wood also prevent the risk of mold growth and thus damage to the building fabric and health hazards for the residents.

 

Insulation value that saves money

The MHM wall is characterized by a pleasingly high insulation value. The high insulation value is achieved through MHM's own construction method: during processing, all boards are provided with a alternating tongue and groove and profiled with many small grooves that form an air cushion.

Depending on the requirements for the building envelope, the thicknesses of the solid wood wall and the insulation are coordinated. All Minergie quality labels can be easily achieved.

 

Wood is the ideal heat storage material

In addition to its good insulation value, the solid construction of the solid wood wall and the resulting large mass of wood create a much larger heat storage capacity than in other building systems. The high surface temperature of wood noticeably increases the comfort in an MHM house.

When the room temperature drops, for example at night, the high storage capacity means that the following day only the room air needs to be heated, not the walls.

 

Relaxed ventilation and heating

Heat and ventilate as usual. You will notice that the room humidity does not fluctuate as quickly as in conventional brick or concrete buildings, because wood absorbs moisture flexibly and releases it gradually.

As with all other building materials, you can humidify the very dry air in winter with green plants or a small bowl of water on the radiator.

 

Problem-free demolition

As forward-thinking builders, you know that even the most durable house will eventually reach the end of its useful life and have to be demolished. The ecologically manufactured solid wood wall is easy to recycle and can be sent directly for reuse. For example, the elements can be used as CO2-neutral fuel for future generations in the form of wood chips. An average house with around 100 m³ of wood could then replace around 30,500 liters of heating oil with its calorific value. That would cover the current needs of a family for 34 years.

In view of the increasing take-back obligations for products of all kinds, this is becoming increasingly important. And it is a good example of a genuine circular economy.

We have been working with salt as a storage medium for 50 years. We have been partnering with Holten, a leading international specialist in the field of gritting and storage technology based in Brannenburg, Bavaria, for slightly less than that. Haudenschild is responsible for operations in Switzerland, and we run a joint development department.

Our services range from consulting, planning, and implementation of standard and customized solutions to the renovation of silo systems. In addition to silos, we also build storage halls, brine and conveyor systems, and technical facilities, including, of course, customized solutions tailored to individual requirements. The innovative "salt filling station"

Haudenschild is presenting a completely new and innovative system for measuring, weighing, and dosing gritting material for the first time.

 

 

The load cell

The heart of the system – calibratable and accurate to 20 kg. Without measurement tolerances, it is possible to call up the exact weight of the gritting material remaining in the silo at any time.

 

The weighing terminal

The required amount of grit is entered into the terminal using an optional chip card. The filling process starts automatically and is shown digitally on the display. This tried-and-tested system guarantees maximum accuracy and effectiveness.

 

 

The filling station at the silo

A linearly driven double-segment slide valve is located below the silo. It opens and closes automatically thanks to the weighing terminal. A control mirror and video camera are used to monitor the loading process.

 

Evaluation and statistics

The data is transmitted directly to a PC or laptop. The use of chip cards enables accurate allocation and invoicing. Statistical evaluations round off this innovative system.

SILO CONSTRUCTION WITH WOOD

Wood is a natural and renewable raw material that does not harm the environment. As a result, the silo can be recycled in an environmentally friendly manner at the end of its service life.

Condensation is virtually impossible, as wood does not conduct heat.

Salt that has been stored or not used in winter service can remain in the silo during the summer months until the next spreading period.
