Belandscape LLC
Focused on user experience and creative thinking, since the early 2000s the belandscape team has been developing an innovative and original approach to public space and landscape design called landscape design thinking.
This new approach is based on a synthesis of analytical and intuitive thinking. The creative process is inspired by user feedback on completed developments and the real added value they reveal. The belandscape team interviews stakeholders in order to empathize with them and seeks to establish what users do, think, feel, and share.
This approach can be summarized in three key steps:
- Identify an issue and understand its context
- Find the concept or idea that will solve it
- Design the form that will embody this concept
This process is not linear but is approached as a series of iterative cycles and intersecting spaces (returning to empathy when prototyping, etc.). This approach promotes collective intelligence in a logic of co-creation by alternating phases of intuition and analysis and places great importance on field research and a full understanding of experiences.
The dimension of temporality is also at the heart of this design process, and belandscape's many sustainable or temporary projects demonstrate its detailed responses to the expectations of the constantly changing sustainable city.
